THE WEDDING
To look into the eyes of love
Is what we all wish in this life,
To find the most suitable of husbands
Or to capture the heart of a loving wife.
The story of your heart
Is complete when this magic comes true,
Happily ever after becomes a reality,
Wishes are granted on hearing the words
I Do.
Anastacia never thought
Her prince she would see,
Wayne never thought he would find himself in L.A
Down on bended knee.
Neither thought they would marry,
The proposal came as a total surprise,
When he presented her with a ring,
An immediate yes sparkled in her eyes.
Their quest is finally over,
They have found the other half,
They have both so much in common,
They are both so quick to laugh.
Their love is the greatest gift,
True love only comes once in a life,
The long wait has been worth it,
For now they are man and wife.
Your lives are now changed,
Now you both wear the ring,
We wish you an enduring love,
Where love will forever sing.
MOTHER
Mother, she is always there,
When you’re a baby brushing your hair,
Her love everlasting all through the years,
As a child wiping your tears.
Always there at the school gate,
Never, ever, ever late,
She fusses and spoils and tucks you in bed,
‘I love you too mum’, is what I had said.
Never forgetting her tasks of the day,
What to cook and clean away,
Forever speaking good words of advice,
‘Always be honest and always be nice’.
Mother, mother I hope that you see,
Now I’m a mother it’s you now in me.

A CHILD IS BORN
The wait has been worth it,
The pain of childbirth was too,
For now I look down on my baby,
What have I done to deserve you?
I promise to protect you,
And love you with all my heart,
You will forever be foremost in my life,
I shall try to give you the perfect start.
I shall try not to be clingy,
But I know I will be,
I will be envious of all who hold you,
You are so beautiful to me.
Now that you are born,
I feel reborn too,
I have never felt a love like this,
Oh baby, I love you.
Already you have changed me,
My new title is now Mother,
My husband has given me the greatest gift of all,
Already I crave another.

IN SPIRIT
I have left the earth,
But I am still about,
I kiss your cheek at night,
When your light is out.
I am the wind
That blows in your hair,
I am spirit now,
I am near.
I sit on your shoulder,
I see all that you do,
My body is gone,
Still my love is with you.
When times are tough
I hold your hand,
You are never alone,
Together we stand.
If you are in trouble,
I shall help you out,
I am your instinct
When you doubt.
I am the angel
Assigned to you,
You will never be alone,
I am next to you.

ONLY ONE HEART TO LOSE
This heart is fragile,
Treat it with care,
Try not to break it,
I hope you won’t dare.
I only have one heart,
It is in your hand,
Be nice,
Understand.
I cannot take the risk,
Of a broken heart,
You only get one,
There is no spare part.
You own this heart,
I lost it to you,
On that day long ago
When I gazed upon you.

VALENTINE
I don’t want red roses,
I want kisses that last for days,
Forget the Valentines card,
More important is the words you say.
I don’t want a romantic dinner,
Candlelight would be wasted on me,
I prefer to see the love light in your eyes,
That is Valentines to me.
I know that roses are red,
And that violets are blue,
I know how you love me,
By things that you do.
So Valentines is rather clichéd,
But your love will never be,
So forget the Champagne and Chocolates,
All I want is you devouring me.
